Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith just came available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The big question is whether to buy it now, buy the trilogy box set, or wait for the inevitable: a box set with all 6 episodes.

1You have to wait for the box set unless you currently own any of the dvd’s. :)
I am sure there will also be a special edition box set, and a directors edition box set, and a gold edition box set, and a remastered box set, and a….

2this is just a stupid marketing scheme. its like “thanksgiving” when people rush like hell to stores for a saving of few $$$. Gosh…. people who buy that stuff are sooo stupid.
who gives a damn about all these dvds? no one watches more than 2 times after they buy these sets. just go and watch it in the damn theatre.
and whats the whole point of pre-ordering it ? It WILL be available in abundant quantity all around in the stores. this is a stupid clear-cut gimmic that dumb guys are fooled by.
use your brain guys.
anyways, i hate that movie ….

3I wouldn’t have it in my collection if they hand delivered it for free. I sorta feel like Lucas should pay me for having to wait so long for such dribble.
Please don’t let him get an itch to make the last trilogy. Let someone else do it.

5Lol vadfe==, this sounds more like Slashdot every passing day, but a little humor never hurt anyone.
As for Star Wars… I’m going to wait for the price to drop on the original trilogy boxset and then purchase it, nothing more.
And yes I think Mr. Lucas pretty much killed everyone’s faith in Star Wars, the last film was decent, but I wouldn’t give it more than that, the other two were too political and too boring for a Star Wars movie. The original trilogies were about a fantastic adventure with “Space Samurais”, this one was a bunch of political drama and CGI battles with hundreds of models (and bad acting by most).

6I’m not going to pre-order the movie. It wasn’t that good. Also I’m not going to buy Episode II. Why would I? I’m just going to pretend that it was never made.

7I’m gonna wait til about 4 months after the special edition director’s cut (just after the special edition) for the super deluxe platinum director’s premium edition box set, containing all 6 movies, plus 2 dvd’s of extras per movie, and 7 with additional features on general star wars stuff, in the collectors edition durianium case with the life sized person robot in the form of your favourite character….collect all 47 characters to receive a working death star FREE OF CHARGE.
