some features in windows longhorn sneak preview on 2002 was now integrated in os x.

It even says it in the video.. OS 10 like.. for thoes of you who do not know OS 10 this is mac OS x.. from the way you can enlarge images in a window.. search for files.. search menus.. the security features.. even that little lock in the browser for secure sites.. All of these features were implemented in Mac OS X years ago

Alot of the features i see with aero have already been done in XGL for unix, linux, irix and other X based systems and it chews less resources. Personally i dont like the idea of the “all programs” page by page in the start menu but i guess what ever tickles your fancy. I am still waiting for a good reason to switch to an MS product, ever since 2002 MS has been stealing ideas from the Mac and Linux areas quite alot(MacOSX being based off freebsd which is an X server based OS so XGL should be available now or soon for mac). I’m not much for gimmicks i like performance and stability, so when MS fixes their memory leaks and resource hungry “add-ons” please inform me.

I read that Apple decided to include many features in Tiger because they knew Microsoft was going to do some of them in their next OS.

i cant see this…when i open windows media player, it says this: “Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.”

please tell me what i can do to view this. i hv already downloaded the file.

Not bad, I’m impressed from what I saw, however I wonder how come some of the beta reviews I read didn’t mention some of those things.

Well it looks much smoother in terms of the feedback, but like everyone else has said, nothing amazing to see here. Just have to wait for beta 2. Though I personally wonder how much they will change….
