I hold the oppinion that money, now matter how much it is, can't make a system cool, it's the software that matters. As far as Microsoft's games go (from Microsoft Studios) they are all crud.

As far as their system's games go, I could name like 7 games that I'd enjoy having and playing if I had an XBox, like Halo 1 and 2, Midnight Club, Fable, Dead or Alive Beach Volley (oh come on, everyone with an XBox HAS this game), Shen Mue 2, Ninja Gaiden... and that's it I think.

For the PS2, I have dozens of wonderfull games that haven't had TIME to play yet and probably never will due to their overwhelming number.

[At Microsoft marketing department]

Employee 1: We really need to price the xbox under that $300 sweetspot pricepoint to gain mass coverage.

Employee 2: But we'll be losing too much money initially!

Employee 1: I just got an idea. Why don't we strip down the system and sell it for $299? We can sell the rest of the console for the unbievable value of $100 more!

Employee 2: Think they'll go for that?

[At forevergeek.com]

"who would be dumb enough to buy the core system?"

It's not so much whether I want to play on the new system, it's more a question of space. I really don't have the room to have both systems set up on my tv unit, so either I'll have to keep swapping and changing them around or I just play the one.
