There is no one who can hack the 1.52 version of the firmware out there to make homebew games able to be played on the system is there? challenge???????????

Mabey they will work on the downgrade for 1.5x because we the psp users still belive and they wonât let us down. cuz we were he ones who made there goals and they achived them but now weâre stuck and waiting for them we trust to let us sleep in peace. i still hope and still belive so someone help and read

What do you think happens when you update your PSP with Sony’s official updater?! Your firmware gets flashed…. So it’ll always be risky, but at least if the official Sony one stuffs up and ends up “bricking” your PSP, you could prolly take it to Sony to get it replaced. Whereas with the WAB you have no such option :(

I don’t think that works otherwise somebody else would have already figured out. I don’t know the details but I’ve heard from one of team WAB’s announcements that it involves flashing your PSP’s firmware which is always dangerous no matter what hardware you’re flashing, there are always risks that may render your PSPs useless.

That is why extra care is being taken and why it hasn’t been released to the public yet.

noone tried to change in a 1.52 eboot file (which you could have gotten from official sony upadte site days ago) all 1.52 to 2.22 in a hex editor, I did, but I have a 1.50 PSP now (I came with the idea after changing my PSP) so….. go and try it, edit your 1.52 JUST change every 1.52 to 2.22 put it un the UPDATE folder and your PSP 2.0 could read it as a new update, just that it may downgrade to 1.52…

Tell me what you got from it

the idea is to actually get a 1.50 firmware eboot which I don’t have and make the same you did with 1.52 eboot running on 2.0 as an update (2.22) (this by hex editor – replace all 31 2E 35 32 to 32 2E 32 32) that “could downgrade”?

Personally, I’m more anxious about the things that developers from all around the world are doing in order to get software running on the 2.0 version, because not only are they understanding how they will do it in small steps but they are discovering alot more things about the PSP itself.

Which means that in a near future we’ll be able to access more of the PSP’s components and use more of it’s power for our homebrew purposes, wether they are media players or console emulators.
