Humma Kavula and friends have done it again. They’ve released their newest software which seems to take the place of their very famous program: Fastloader. This program basically emulates any UMD iso you have using the PSP’s RAM so no flashing is required. The difference is that instead of choosing a game from on the menu you choose the image you want to load and the program will reset the PSP and load it as if you had the UMD inserted.
You still need a UMD to boot anything but this method seems to be more effective to run more games with less risks (like flashing your PSP’s firmware for example).

Well, it’s a much better alternative to flashing your PSP and most of the games are working now except a hand-full of them. There is no official list yet, but I haven’t tried one that didn’t work. The hardest thing now is to choose the games I’ll buy :)

First, you can download PSP games at any torrent site. I recommend torrentspy.com Second, where can you download the emulator. Third, how much space does the emulator and games take up. I am hopefuly getting the 4GB hard drive for the PSP, so memory wont be a problem.
You need an UMD in the PSP for the emulator to work :D

seems like whenever i download a game from torrentspy.com it comes in broken up .r00,.r01,… files and when i extract the .iso from the .r00 file and put it into my PSP iso folder the PSP never loads those games properly, it either freezes, or a weird image comes up, please help!

Hi, I have a psp that was 1.52. I Upgraded it to 2.0 and then downgraded it to 1.5. I installed umd emu 0.8. I have a GTA LC ISO located in the ISO folder (root of psp) and FIFA 2006 UMD loaded. When I try to load the GTA ISO the PSP just turns itself off… any help please?

So, here I am trying to play Legend Of Heroes with this emulator. The problem is however that you can’t use the Eboot loader so I had to downgrade to 1.5 again. Great, now I can play! OR not… The thing is that Legend Of Heroes requires that you have firmware 2.0 because of these bloody anti-firmware guys at sony. Anyway, if I now install 2.0 again I can play LoH, but then the emulator stops working. Got a solution to my problem, please tell.

I also have 1.5 with fastloader and sum roms and in this way u can play 2.0 or higher games
There is a dilema here guys. Apparently, some games only works with version 2.0 firmware, while there is a eboot loader for 2.0 firmware out there (fanjita’s) but it won’t support any of the UMD loader that we need to play those darn ISOs. Therefore, if you upgrade firmware, you can play the game, but can’t load the iso. Maybe in the near future it will be possible.
with umd emulator you need to put all your iso’s in the iso folder open up umdemulator folder which is on the root of your mem stick then iso folder put them here, to extract your iso’s these files ra.1 ra.2 etc download winzip istall it and right click one of the files and extract this will create all the files to one iso, i hope this info has helped here’s a useful site you might be interested in lookin at http://www.psphacks.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9904

oh i forgot they also work with candy-apple red as long as there is a blue stripe down the right side.

You people must realize that downloading psp iso’s is piracy. Go find them yourself.
Actually, it’s legal if you own the UMD. The main reason for downloading the ISO version of the game is so that it loads A LOT faster. I have v1.5 firmware, and I own GTA: LCS (actually, I own 2…sorta got the other one for free…heh..thanks Gamefly :D). GTA works on my PSP, and it runs alot faster than with the UMD. If you own the UMD of the ISO you are using, it’s 100% legal. Just like if you own a CD, and you download the MP3s of that CD, it’s 100% legal, because you have purchased that game.
People keep saying that nothing is working for them. Please note that if you have firmware versions 2.01, 2.5, or 2.6, this will NOT work for you! If you have firmware versions 1.51 or 1.52, simply upgrade to 2.0, then downgrade to 1.5, then it should work 100% for you (except certain games).

heh became carried away with all these complaints. Look if your having so many questions or problems with the PSP and homebrews then obviously you should pack it in the original box then put that in a bigger box along with all the PSP games owned and ship it to me. I will take good care of them :)

just get a downgrader and the 1.5 update, and leave it on your ms. that way you can switch when ever you want to..also no it does not work on 2.0 and no if you have any thing above 2.0 you CAN NOT downgrade..

hey i simply cant play untold legends: warrior’s code on psp cuz its a different regioncode. i hav the umd emulator too but cant use it cuz my psp is kinda hacked , causing its version to appear as 7.50, so can i still downgrade it to version 1.50 to use the umd emulator, and can anyone pls tell me how?
