802.11n is supposedly going to be able to reach speeds of up to 600 mbps eventually. This is probably way overestimating the technology, I have a wireless-g router and I have never gotten anywhere close to 54 mbps. And besides, to transfer that much data at a time from the outside would require a really nice server…

According to available news, the EWC proposal would offer Wi-Fi speeds as high as 600 Mbps. They believe that the faster the IEEE Task Group N pushes through a specification, the better for all the companies.

1Again AlexTan, the image posted is misleading. That’s not a 802.11n router, as the standard itself wouldn’t be finalized until 2007. Given, that’s a pre-N router supporting MIMO–it’s still not the same thing as 802.11n.
If there isn’t a good image to use, it’s okay to not use an image–especially if the product in question is not even out yet.
