I know it’s “ungeeky” to favor design over price but I don’t feel as comfortable writing on an “ugly” machine or using an “ugly” gadget as I would using one with a good design. I love Apple’s machines, I really enjoy the iPod and the best equivalent in terms of machine design in the “Windows world” are the Sony machines. Even if I’m paying just for the Sony brand, there’s something about their laptops and gadgets that attract everyone.
This new laptop series doesn’t fall short in terms of design compared to any other Sony Laptop in the market, from the early pictures they seem to be a mix between my FS series and an S series. Since looks aren’t everything a few specs have been upgraded, such as the RAM, which is now DDR2 and features a 14.1″ monitor. For me, the monitor enough is a big reason to choose a Vaio laptop over any other, with Samsung close in the same department.
Another “feature” is also obviously the wide range of colors you can choose from, the white one looks great but I’m not so sure about green…
So basically if you fancy Apple’s looks but are stuck with Windows’ (dis)functionality, a Vaio laptop is the closest thing you’ll get to a Powerbook in this realm.

I want a vaio so bad but can’t afford one. Went to best buy yesterday and Saw these.
It appears as though Sony is trying to persuade avid Apple users to convert. With these new awesome colors, many some people will be tempted to buy one this holiday season.
Too bad that Windows XP will never match OS X for user experience – they can have as many colours as they wish, just the original iMacs, but it’s what inside the o/s that counts.
IÂŽm from germany and saerching for a vaio fj 180 in white. Where can I buy one? And is there a poroblem with the language or can I change everything? Thank you Jenny
I can’t believe it, my co-worker just bought a car for $34033. Isn’t that crazy!
