Bringing in the kids again, McDonalds has partnered up with a hotspot carrier. If you have ever seen Super Size Me, you will shake your head at this. While it sounds like it could be nice for the kids, I doubt they are going to go to McDonalds, and only play a Nintendo DS game with some other children, and not eat the food at McDonalds…
Nintendo has signed planed with a wifi hotspot carrier in America that means its Nintendo DS users will be able to play wirelessly in nearly 6,000 McDonald’s restaurants across the United States. Through the agreement with Wayport, Nintendo will offer complimentary access to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the video game giant’s new wireless gaming service that goes online Nov. 14.
“This agreement with Wayport will bring countless people together to play games in a single, simultaneous wireless community,” says Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales & marketing. “Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is simple to use. Beginning with free access at participating McDonald’s, we have removed one of the major barriers that have kept people from going online to play games.”
Gamers will be able to use the service to play games with other gamers like Mario Kart DS and Activision’s Tony Hawk’s American SK8Land.
edit: Sorry about the Mac…Thought there was something wrong with that…but its how they spelled it in the original article.

2Actually, Ronald the clown is really a Mac Daddy. Can’t you tell from his afro and the bling-bling costume? Recently, he changed his name to ‘M Ditty’, then to just ‘Ditty’, then settled for ‘Mac Donalds’.
Man, my humor is way off today…

3Despite its being McDonald’s (with an apostrophe, Ranter!), I’m pleased with this.

4So Nintendo is releasing DDR to make gamers thin at home with their gamecubes and giving them free Wifi at McDonald’s?
