Sony upgrades the PSP battery

As much as I’d like to tell you all that Sony did a huge improvement on their next PSP accessory, I can’t. But the new battery for the PSP that is coming out that has a whooping 20% more capacity than the current ones with 2200mAh. So instead of playing Ridge Racer for 3/4 hours you can now play it for 4/5 hours instead.
They will start selling on 10/27 in Japan for 5300 yen pre tax, which should make it around 50$ a piece (a bit expensive for an addict).
In other (slightly less interesting news) Sony will also shell out “official” 1GB memory sticks for around the double of the price of the new batteries on the same date.
Perhaps the new battery is Sony’s way of saying “sorry” for the lame PSP patch they just released.

1The psp is a work of god. I’m glad to spend $250. for it and ill pay just as much for anything for it. Sony did a good job i think.

14i think you need to download windows and then java. unless it comes with your wireless connection. and i play runescape to, lvl 84. i havent gotten to play and it pisses me off.

15If you want a good free mmorpg for psp, try DragonSwordsII (http://dsrpg2.co.uk/intro.php). This is fully compatible with the psp. Its only drawback is it is text based. If you need ingame help, my ID is 5091, my name is ~]D.E[~JoshKlaz. Hope all you fellow gamers appreciate this!

18you guys are so lame… runescape requires alot of cpu to run so even if they made a java version for psp runescape wont run nice on 333mhz. unless jagex makes a psp verson (which i dont think they will) u guys r dreaming.

58i have been looking into it and i have found a way to play RS on psp. u need a mem card with at least 128mb. open up your psp on ur comp and open common folder. delete the java that is in there. on ur comp open program files and copy ur java folder. paste it in ur psp common folder and there u go. i would explain in detail but its hard typing on psp. later

And on topic, the PSP really wouldn’t play RS that well.
1. The RS screen is too big.
2. Takes too much power to run it.
3. You can’t get Java on your PSP, or you can’t get it easily.
So..we may be able to in the future but I do belive that you currently cannot play it on the PSP.

1. Runescape would be painful to play on psp.
2. Zezima is a male, and he quit college to continue playing rs.

121It is possible to purcharce a 1023mb card for about 200$ However the screen your using does not have the pixel reader to break the screen image down enough to play. You probally have been on line and seen it next to impossible to play. There is not any upgrades yet that can be downloaded that work. So far anyone saying that there on there psp, is kinda full of crap. The furture might have a psp2 that is a mini laptop but it will still have to run at least 300mhz for anykind of quality in play. If u do know of a new downloader that will break this down lt me know.

231yes their is a way to play runescape on your psp, its called logmein.com it runs on javascript not java so you psp can use it. you dont half to download anything to your psp, just to your computer. its sooo cool you can access your computer from anywere, including on your psp so theirs the true answer hope my post helped u guys : )

243alright- this may make some of u mad but, as of now, you cant play rs on psp. it isnt a hardware problem, the psp has the ram needed. however, the psp(v:3.01) has no java. it has javascript. the closest bet is trying to use logmein.com to access it by controlling a pc.

Go connect PSP with a usb cable then go on ur comp then make a folder called “program Files” in the PSP root then copy the Java folder in the folder just created then try loading RS!
