Another reason why books are not as good as online resources is that books cannot be edited once they are published, and thus any mistakes made are forever attached to the pages within.

The collaboratively assembled encyclopedia maintains a page devoted to correcting errors in its chief offline competitor, the venerable Encyclopedia Britannica.
