BusinessWeek online has a look at some of the planned offerings from Microsoft that will be strictly online. This gives some merrit to the rumors circulating about future versions of Office being web-based.
Live.com: Part of a broad initiative called Windows Live, this personalized home page that can include personalized news feeds, local weather and a ticking clock in your time zone. Trial version available now at http://www.live.com.
The services under the Windows Live moniker will mostly be free and ad-supported, and are designed to complement functions found on Microsoft’s Windows operating system.

1So what’s the difference between this and start.com? They look pretty similar to me.
I like the ‘Firefox support is coming soon, please be patient :)’ bit at the top as well – I can only assume they added that for all the blogs out there that would lay into them if they didn’t.
