Just when I thought I had one of the best looking mp3 players around, Sony goes and does it again by toping their design once.

This product is specified as a luxury product. I thought they were exagerating, however, after converting the 52k Yen they’re asking for it I gave up all hope of ever wanting to have one: Around $450 (Shipping not included). A bit too much for a 2GB mp3 player… even if it looks as good as this one.

1It looks like a generic USB thumb drive. Not my idea of high style, but whatever floats your boat.

2I know it’s a luxury product, but isn’t it a bit ridiculous when compared to a 2gig ipod nano? Ipod nano isn’t exactly ugly either.

3I’m pretty sure it’s a 2-set. Two 2 GB players for that price, inna purdy box. The custom engraving option suggests that it could be a gift for one’s significant other.
Still, two 2 GB devices for $450… eh.
