According to this article on News.com, tivo will soo begin testing a service that will allow you to transfer your recorded video to an iPod or PSP.
The Alviso, Calif.-based company, whose box has become synonymous with the digital recording of television programs, said Monday that it will be testing a version of its TiVoToGo mobile service so that customers will be able to synchronize downloads of their programs from their TiVo Series2 boxes and transfer them to portable devices via their PC.

1It’s pretty cool that we will be able to record tv shows and transfer down to the ipod…now I just need to get myself one.

2I think the studios have two options at this point:
1. Try to find new ways of suing TiVo
2. Signing up with iTunes to at least give consumers the chance of buying the content
Similarly, one of my excuses for downloading .torrent shows is that there’s no other way of getting those shows when they’re still relevant.
