A surprising move was made today by Alexa, the company responsible for some interesting projects like the way back machine (and owned by Amazon).

So what do they offer, well basically they offer your their hardware and database to take a snapshot, organize and “compile” your results.

US$1 buys you 50 Gigabytes of data processing, or one hour of CPU time, or 1 Gigabyte of either storage space or data uploaded to their service platform

It’s not another Google but it could very well power new and interesting platforms.
