Looks like the DivX browser plug-in project has been revived. They released an Active-X control a while back that seemed to be well received. Now they have come back with a newer version that supports more than just IE, although it is still a Windows-only plug-in.
After receiving lots of great feedback last year on our experimental ActiveX control for Internet Explorer that played high quality DivX videos from the web live inside the browser, we decided to rewrite a fully featured DivX Browser Plug-In from scratch – cleaner, leaner, meaner than before, and here it is!
The newest version of the plug-in now supports:
W3Counter.com – Firefox with 25% browser share
AOL Instant Messenger To Include Browser
Web-Browser Archive
