There is a rumor that in the UK, Dell is running a trial program, pre-installing Firefox on its PCs.
SOURCES CLAIMED the Dell Corporation is shipping PCs in the UK with Mozilla Firefox on the desktop.
The firm is giving it a go because Firefox is a popular web browser amongst buyers, the sources continued.
We contacted Dell UK this morning. The firm refused to either confirm or deny such a trial was happening. A rep said the firm would get back to us on that one. Mozilla could not be contacted for confirmation at press time.
