It looks like Gaim’s 2.0 release was delayed a bit, but that shouldn’t be very surprising, so far it has only been for a couple of weeks, some more famous programs have been delayed a couple of months, some even more famous programs are constantly being delayed (I’m looking at you Longhorn). But at least, I can say for sure, that Gaim’s 2.0 team is working hard, because I’ve been keeping an eye on their latest CVS builds.
First of all, before you try the CVS builds, be warned that Gaim team doesn’t recommend you use them, actually, they just say “don’t use them!”. But, I’ve been running their latest builds for quite a while and I have very little, if any, complains to make.
So to download the latest CVS builds, click “Visit Site” below. Or, if you have a little more patience, you could hold on for their beta release, which according to them, is supposed to be released today. There’s also a screenshot in case you’re curious about some of the visual changes.
I admit it’s not the prettiest IM, but it sure is the most functional one for me.
