Is your PSP hackable? Know before buying
Tuesday, Dec. 20 2005 | Author: GriffithThe guys at PSPhacks have released a nice article explaining how you can get a PSP that is hackable, or at least downgradable.
Before you buy a PSP for that special gamer this Holiday season, you have to ask yourself one thing: do they homebrew? If the answer is yes, you better take care not to get a unit with a firmware over 2.0 â otherwise, no hackie. You can determine the firmware version by checking for a letter code above the UPC on the bottom of the box.
A-1.50
B-1.51
C-1.52
D-2.00 Unconfirmed
E-2.00 Unconfirmed (likely 1.52)
F-2.00
G-2.01

1Now they tell me lol… Unfortunatly Im “G” – 2.01 Guess no homebrew for me. But maybe in the future :D

2Damn it. i’m god damn ‘G’ aswell … homebrew has an enlightening future ahead of it with also been able to CONTROL YOUR HOUSE through a XB1ilx Router. Cooolll …. Maybe in the future someone will hack the psp fully … and run windows xp FULLY. Imagine the possibilites of that *drools* …. Next thing i want to see is FLASH and JAVA (Fully Supported) in the internet browser and for the LocationFree Router to DECREASE in PRICE!!!
We can only hope.

3I don’t mean to burst your bubble Azza, but it’s very unlikely to be able to run Windows XP decently on a PSP.

8Together with my PSP labeled letter C (firmware version 1.52) comes a demo-disc that I am instructed to boot from before doing any thing else. The disc is marked to include syste software version 2.0 and it probably opgrades my PSP. I am how ever afraid that it is actualy 2.01 and not 2.0. Is there any way of finding out what version (2.0 or 2.01) is on the demo disc. Is there allso any way of running the demo-software on the disc without being upgraded?
Lastly: are there any reason to upgrade to 2.0 if it is 2.0 and not 2.01 on the demo disc?

9greetings, I got mine cause I couldnt wait any more, my versions 2.5 which I reckon is beserk… It has been hacked, I know this much, but how can I downgrade this stuff? well anyhow, cheers beforehands, and GAME ON!!!

13ino how to surf the web u need a router then u need to scan the area for your router a bunch will probly come up unless u live in the country and u choose yours and for tha pas word just type in ur phine number with area code then ur set

39When there is a will there is a way always. Guys use PANDORA PATTERY can hack any PSP VERSION even PSP SLIMS. Learn to build a Pandora battery.
