This is a cool use for RSS. You can go to this site, enter a tracking number and who the package is shipped with, and it will generate an RSS feed of the tracking status for you. Ben Hammersley did something like this a while back with FedEx’s tracking facility. This site offers UPS, the Postal Service, FedEx, and it looks like they are maybe going to offer DHL soon.

1interesting feed. Although the details it provides aren’t as thorough as I would like. It would be nice to see where you package is.
For instance it says “Arrival Scan”, and that’s it, does not provide a location. So you still have to go to the carrier’s site to find out the details.
this lack of detail will probably keep me from using it

2So far I haven’t even gotten it to work without throwing errors in the scripts they’re using.

3matt, it does have the location in the description. I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
jake, what tracking number are you using? I’ve been using it without any problems.
