Business Week Online has made a short list of what will probably be the most influential gadgets or 2007. So, what can you expect from next year? Well, first of all, 2007 will mark the birth of the latest iterations of the world’s most debated, and compared, Operative Systems: Vista and Leopard. Vista is set on winning users over with a brand new eye-candy theme and added security tightening, while Leopard on the other hand is set on continuing to evolve it’s Operative System in a natural way by adding features that allow them to easily recover files and easily accessing them. Still with Apple, the American company is set Read more »

Load up your iPod without a PC/Mac
A new iLoad is set to deliver a new iPod accessory on the blog, but this one doesn’t fit in your pockets. I’m talking about the iLoad, a device that allows you to put music in your iPod without the need of a computer at a rate of 8 minutes per disk. It sounds like the perfect device for your computer-illiterate relatives, but what’s the catch? Well the catch is that the product costs (or will cost) $299. For that price tag, I’d rather save up a bit more and buy a Mac Mini, which is more usefull than an iLoad anyway. Plus, I’m pretty sure I could beat that Read more »
Wiimote meets World of Warcraft
The Wiimote has been for the past week the center of attention thanks to a clever little program, and various scripts have already emerged to make it compatible with popular applications like Google Earth. Since World of Warcraft is one of the most popular online games at the moment, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to marry it with the Wiimote. If this starts to become popular I think that it could very well overtake Wii Sports record for breaking televisions and LCDs in record time, specially for those which fight on the battlegrounds. PC Worlds least top 25 Worst Tech Products of all time
Dan Tynan from PC World made a list of what he considers to be the worst tech products ever presented. Most of the entries there are no-brainer ones, like Internet Explorer 6, for example, but you’d be surprised to hear how many Apple products have made (or almost made) it to the list. Despite being a very popular company, known for quality products, two of them made it onto the list and two more (three if you count Motorola’s ROKR) made it to the dishonorable mention list. And what tech product made it to the number one spot? Well, you’ve certainly heard about it, your parents have probably heard about Read more »
Teen Titans season 2 DVD: Reviewed
Teen Titans is one of those shows that progressed in quality with each season, hardly fluctuating at all. The show started out rather kid-oriented but became darker and more complex with each passing season (though season 5 was mostly one big fangasm). Season 2 is one of the better seasons and also one of the most memorable, as it adapts possibly the most famous storyline from the New Teen Titans comic book series by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Season 2 roughly adapts âthe Judas Contractâ, but as you can guess, only imports a few of the basic plot elements and does its own thing with the concept. The first Read more »
Playstation 2 to outsell all next gen consoles in 2007?
An analyst from Wedbush Morgan Securities is predicting that the Playstation 2 will sell more than any of the new next generation consoles. Sony will ship in the coming months 11 million PS2 and only 6 million PS3 until March of 2007, and according to a rating agency Sony will continue to ship the same numbers until March 2008, which is a bit ironic if you consider that the Playstation 2 had a relatively weak launch, and since then it has beaten all sales records. “The PS2 probably has the capacity to sell more than any other gaming” console, says Simon Jeffrey, chief operating officer at game maker Sega of Read more »
Play any Playstation 1 game on your PSP
The homebrew scene has been relatively quiet for the PSP lately, and only average, homebrew applications seem to appear. However, Dark_Alex, the infamous PSP “cracker” has made yet another breakthrough in PSP homebrew and released his modified version of the PSP’s 3.02 Firmware, which allows it to run any Playstation 1 ISO game (compressed in a certain format). Basically this means that you will no longer need to wait for Sony to release Playstation 1 titles on their online store or have to re-purchase all of your favorite Playstation 1 titles again. So if you have a PSP, it’s time to take the dust off of it and start enjoying Read more »
Samsung announces new Ultra Series Cellphone: Z720
Samsung has just announced the latest addition to their Ultra Series cellphones, the Z720. The 80g phone packs a 2.1″ QVGA screen, a 3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, Micro SD card plug, 3G and HSDPA (up to 1.8mbit speed) support. On the software side, it seems that Samsung and Google shook hands, and now you can access Google Search and Gmail with a simple click on the device’s menu. The cellphone will start being sold in Europe this month (yes, not Korea!). There was no word of the price yet, but you can expect to pay more or less the same you would for a Playstation 3 for this Read more »
The Simpsons (Arcade) â Retrospective
I remember the days before video arcades began to totally suck in America. The one down here at Springfield Mall used to be packed with a wide selection of awesome brawlers, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men and the Simpsons. The Simpsons was delevoped by Konami and had a lot of similarities with their TMNT brawler, mostly since all of Konamiâs brawlers had a very similar formula to them. Still, it was a formula that really worked, so you couldnât complain. The Simpsons was one of their best and became a game that sucked far too many allowances out of my pocket. I recently replayed the game for the first Read more »
Star Wars: the Holiday Special – Reviewed
So, what can be said about this disaster that hasnât been said already? Iâm honestly not sure, but Iâll see if I canât cobble something together. My brainâs still seeping out through my nose, though. I hear thatâs a common symptom which follows exposure to this very âspecialâ Holiday Special. Sorta like opening the Ark of the Covenant only worse because you have to stare at the unfathomable horror for 96 minutes. Whatâs the plot? Chewieâs Original Trilogy Extended Universe family wants him to come home for Kashyykâs most important holiday of the year, Life Day. Itâs sorta like a vague amalgamation of Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza and every other winter Read more »
