Says the Penguin man himself. This is a bit old for anyone that reads Slashdot. But I was catching up with Slashdot’s old news just now and found this.
That’s _not_ like any other open source project I know about. Gnome seems
to be developed by interface nazis, where consistently the excuse for not
doign something is not “it’s too complicated to do”, but “it would confuse
users”.
Today seems to be the funny news day, at least for the articles I’m finding, more on that next on the Nintendo commercial.

1The thing about Linus is that he’s ridicously frank, and everyone loves him for it(though they may disagree). I remember an interview a while ago where Linus essentially called slashdotters circle-jerkers: Posting comments that they have no idea about and getting off at modding each other +5insightful. If it was anyone else, they would’ve been thrown in flame hell but few(if any) were offended because it was Linus who said it.
