Sony has recently announced one of the weirdest convergence devices I’ve ever seen, a Mouse that doubles as a Microphone that can be used for voice chat programs like Google Chat and Skype.
It’s also available in the various other colors: black, silver, green and red.
This isn’t necessarily practical, but it is kind of slick. What next?

Could be usefull as mouse OR phone. You cant use both at the same time which is a big minus. I cant wait for electric razor + portable speakers. Imagine turning your speaker off to shave! Weeee 2in1.
Well it doesn’t appear to have a numeric pad on it….so unless you get your computer to dial the number it’s not a stritcly stand-alone phone is it?
Can you roll the mouse-phone around your face while talking to someone and moving the cursor on the screen? :)
It would be perfect for laptops because even if you are talking on the “phouse” you can use your touchpad or touchpoint on your laptop.
