"most people who buy dell computers probably don't even know that there is anything else to use other than ie.

i have been helping some of my friends buy dell computers lately, and the first thing i do for them when it arrives is completely wipe the hard drive and get rid of all the dell software."
i agree totally agree. and unfortunately, my friends actually LIKE ie and aol better than anything else, i believe a google OS based on KDE Linux or some other graphical interface Linux/Unix would sell a lot, and revolutionize the general public towards open source

well the good thing about google software going on dell computers would be that they would probably install firefox with the google toolbar as the default browser. i think a lot of people would stop using ie if they didn't have to change anything. most people who buy dell computers probably don't even know that there is anything else to use other than ie.
