ThinkSecret is reporting that Apple’s current iBook line-up will move to “End of Life” status near the end of the second quarter. This is leading them to believe that the Intel iBook may be closer than first thought.
The timing indicates that Apple could very likely pack Intel’s Core Solo processor into the system. Intel has previously said the single-core sibling to the MacBook Pro’s Core Duo is on track to be delivered to vendors towards the end of March. This means that while an announcement may arrive in March, the new iBooks likely won’t be available in quantity until some time in April.
