Unlike the up to 30 “versions” of Windows Vista that was rumoured a long time ago, it looks like there will only be around 6, and even two of those are versions made for countries like the UK that does not allow the packaging of certain Microsoft software in the mix.

Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Home Basic N
Windows Vista Business N

This all isn’t finalized yet, but each version will be for different things, and have different abilities, and the differences will be much more noticable than the differences between Windows XP Home and Pro.
