I am interested in buying a Nintendo DS, but I want to use it for more than games. I want to use a calendar, take notes, make appointments, and import text. Is this possible with the DS?

No, Michael, that is not possible. It might be one day, but it’s safest not to count on it. The DS is solely intended to be a gaming machine at this point. The PSP might indeed have these capabilities, though.
