It should be interesting to see what the market looks like in 2011, as all three consoles will be out and have a good library of titles for each. Will the Phantom ever come out? What about a portable gaming device from Microsoft? Well, ABI Research took the time to study everything, and say that demand will grow by 95% a year.

ABI Research has released a report predicting that the videogame business will double by 2011, from $32.6 billion in 2005 to $65.9 billion. The market segments that we see as traditional – that is, PC, console, and handheld – will experience slower growth over that time, but emerging markets line internet-enabled gaming and gaming on demand will grow at a mind-boggling rate of 95% per year.
