I really hope the title of the FiringSquad article is correct, as I think I would like to get a newer video card in the next few months.
Xbit Labs is reporting that ATI plans to slash prices on existing Radeon X1K cards. ATI’s flagship X1900 XTX will sell for $550 after the price cut, a reduction of $100, while the X1900 XT will drop to $479. The article also mentions an X1800 GTO SKU launching between $199-$249 and that the X1600 XT and X1600 Pro will sell for $149 and $109 respectively after the cuts.
Anyone else want to see the cards drop in price?
