A visit to one of the local upscale malls in my area led me face-to-face with these touring bike wonders on display: the R1200GS (and the upgraded R1200GS Adventure).
The R1200GS is actually a 2005 model, but the R1200GS Adventure was just released this month. The 1170 cc twin cylinder Boxer engine gets you 100 bhp @ 7000rpm of power and 85 lb/ft @ 5500 rpm torque, and can get you up to a max cruising speed of 130 mph.
And yes, they’re street-legal.
Why don’t you try picking up your date on a bimmer bike one of these days?
