Some new patents regarding new spotlight features have surfaced, that could be what Apple is planning to use in their new operating system Mac OS X: Leopard, or Mac OS X 10.5. No real news regarding the new operating system, which is estimated to be released in December of 2006 – early 2007, had been uncovered yet. The only other news is that Apple’s yearly World Wide Developer Conference would be held on August 7-11, later than the usual June/July meetings. This may mean that Apple is behind in the development and most likely will push the date back into Janruary.

These new patents give spotlight more capabilities which can be seen in this image.
