I wrote up a quick review of Newsvine here a while back and gave away some invites to their private beta. In case you weren’t aware, Newsvine is open to the public now, so anyone can get an account and participate.

Along with “going live”, they have continued to roll out new features, like the Doppleganger, which will find news relative to the current article you are reading. They have also introduced the Conversation Tracker, which lets you know when someone comments on an article you have written and when someone comments on other articles you have commented on.

One of the newest features I have seen is The Greenhouse, which features new users of Newsvine to give others the chance to discover them and vote for them.

So head on over to NewsVine and sign up for an account if you don’t already have one. It has pretty much become my defacto source for news.
