Gearlog reports that the upcoming edition of Mac OS X (10.5 or “Leopard”) will support virtualization and is likely to also support Windows.
This is significant because it means that Apple has now committed to Windows-based performance testing, and it will influence industry-standard testing methodologies going forward, possibly including Mac OS X testing. We speculate that Apple will now develop Windows drivers for Intel Macs like the iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro with Intel Core Duo processors. You will probably still need to buy your own copy of Windows XP (or Vista), but this is exciting stuff.
So in the near future, the best Windows machines would be Macs (like how the MacBookPro is the fastest XP machine)! These are exciting times for Apple fans!

1No, this is an exciting time for Windows users! Because no longer will we be restricted to either Mac or Windows.
Now I can have a functional OS and a dysfunctional game console in the same box (everyone knows that that is what Windows does best, besides crashing that is).

2Well, I’m a Windows user, but I’m an Apple fan! Haven’t got my own Mac, though, but I used to use one at work. I’d love to have Mac OS on my PC.

3I’m confused – what exactly is ’support for Windows’. How is this different from VirtualPC?

They didn’t report anything of the sort. They speculated wildly and photoshopped an Apple logo into the BAPco member image. They didn’t supply a single shred of evidence for anything.
