Alex Scoble cites best practices preventing and pinpointing hacking (or cracking, or whatever more appropriate term we may call such intrusions) attacks on servers. The steps involve setting up adequate logging and auditing, and in the unfortunate event of an attack, analyzing logs and isolating the intrusion. Alex advises not to hide attacks from stakeholders, including your boss!
The worst thing you can do if an attack, or any network issue, is found is to try to hide it. Your bosses will appreciate knowing about problems (or if they don’t perhaps you don’t want them for bosses) and should look to you for solutions versus trying to lay blame.

I think my cell phone, more inparticular my text messages got hacked into. I need to find out how that is possible? Someone sent a message from my phone number but it was not me and def did not come from my phone. Do you kknow of any articles or info or sites that could help me. I really need help ASAP!!! I could lose my career over this!
It’s possible that your number was spoofed. There are web services that can do this–spoof email addresses and mobile numbers. You can try this one if you’d like to prove that your phone was spoofed:

I also got tricked by a similar service. As far as I’m aware they used Hoax Mail
