I think the forthcoming release of Apple’s MacBook line of notebooks (the revamped iBook) have generated more buzz and empty rumors that the Video iPod. First they were going to be released at the special media event back in February, then it was on or around April 1st, the company’s 30th Anniversary.

There have also been reports that they would start shipping them sometime this summer, based on orders sent to the manufacturer. Now there is a report that it could be announced (not released) around April 19th.

Meanwhile the same report comments on speculation that Apple will announce an Intel-powered replacement for its current iBook models, explaining that an announcement could come as soon as next week on the eve of the company’s financial release (April 19).

I am taking a “wait and see” stance.
