Microsoft released an updated version of the Internet Explorer 7 Beta last night. It seems to have a few minor improvements to the interface, such as being able to leave the sidebar up all the time, rather than it just being an overlay.

The other thing announced and released was a site for IE Add-ons.

At the same time, Dvorak is at it again. This time around, he is suggesting that Microsoft would be better off to just dump IE all together and throw its support behind Firefox and Opera. He claims Microsoft has lost billions of dollars on the time and labor spent patching up IE and Windows, suggesting that time and personnel could have been used to make Vista what it was orginally intended to be, rather than just an upgrade to XP.
