As many expected, Sony announced today that they have dropped the retail price of their PlayStation 2 game system from $149 to $129.
Effective immediately, consumers can purchase the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $129.99/$139.99 CND. The company expects this latest price move to fuel consumer demand even further.
Most online stores have already dropped the price, including Amazon.
I thought sony was gonna stop selling the PS2 due to that DualShock lawsuit thing?
The prices will get even lower when the PS3 comes out.
And in other news, Sony will start giving away PSP’s in cereal boxes 2 years from now.
