Sony recently announced the SMU-WM10, a new line of wireless optical mice intended for portable use. Coming in red, white and black, each costs only US$ 49. Great style at a low price. But Sony designers seem to have disregarded ergonomics when they created this mouse. With a thin, rectangulare shape, you’re bound to have repetitive-movement-related wrist injuries sooner than later. Yes, the design might be excellent for stowing away inside your laptop bag, but wouldn’t it be easier to use the laptop’s built in touchpad or trackpoint instead?

3Actually you’re both wrong that gray middle part is actually a finger scanner and it sends an e-mail to the RIAA whenever you download copyrighted content or use iTunes to pass music onto your iPod that you didn’t buy in the iTunes music store.
