A programmer that goes by the nick “Freedom Fry” has recently released a proof-of-concept release of a Linux distro for the PSP.

The program doesn’t really do much yet, however, if he keeps working on this and someone bothers porting KDE we might have a fully functional graphical Linux OS on our PSPs soon.

1KDE? Wouldn’t it make more sense to work on a QT/Embedded environment? This could be very cool, allowing the PSP to dual boot and become a fully functional PDA and media player along with a normal PSP
