Flock Goes Public

Beta, that is.

After almost a year of developer releases, the folks at Flock have finally released a public beta of their browser, which builds social networking features on top of a Firefox codebase.

For this release, and for at least the next year or so, we are primarily focused on supporting the social dimension of the web, and on bringing information closer to the user. Right now this includes a heavy emphasis on the photo experience (from upload through discovery to notification), RSS support, dramatic improvements to the search box (including a new take on favorites), and blogging.

IE7 Beta 2 Released to the Public – Preview
Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 Released
New Yahoo! News and 360

this browser has functionality that is just absolutely amazing. most of the functions i never thought i would see in a browser only because they are too obscure and almost too convenient for someone to create. i highly suggest anyone who uses firefox to switch to flock. it is worth it.

I did a short review of the version of Flock just before this one. You can still see it on the front page near the bottom.

I have downloded the browser and i really like it. It also looks like it takes less memory then firefox. But i still need to learn more about the browser features.
