Hey Damien,
I think that half of the reason for buying the socks, even if they don't actually protect your ipod from scratches (which i think they would to an extent) is that it gives you a peace of mind.

You're less likely to use your ipod if you are constantly worried about getting it scratched, so even if you do buy the socks just so you stop worrying, then you have already solved half of the problem. (This is probably easily fixable with a protective case (plastic/affixable) as mentioned above... :)

Just my 2 cents...

God Blessm,
Mitch

@Kurifu - No offence taken, and thank you for your tip :)

@Everyone else - I just folded one of the socks inside out and I have to say that about 98% of it won't scratch your iPod for sure. The knitting is very well made. With the exception of top part of the sock on the side (due to the little "Made in China" / "40% Cotton" banners).

I can't speak much for the scratches because I already have one of those transparent sticky-tape shields around my Nano. But I honestly think that it protects the player better than the little leather sleeve that comes with it originaly. My friend has been using it and has some scratches on the top part already. Perhaps I'll give him one of these socks and ask him in a few months if it's working out well for him.

Hmm i still think the sock is not scratch proof and won't protect your nano/ipod if you drop it.

Giggle is a sort of laugh. Jiggle is probably the word you're looking for.

(This, of course, an effort to help you improve your English!)

Are they just knit, or does the interior of the sock have some kind of lining? If the former, is it made of something soft and non-scratchy enough that you don't worry about the screen?
