As reported at the Muppet Central, the Muppets are coming back via an adult-targetted Late Night Talk Show! The show, titled “Late Night Buffet”, will feature an all new cast of Muppets and will be taped before a live studio audience.
Regretfully, all the familiar Muppets such as Kermit the Frog, Ms. Piggy and Gonzo, will not be available for the show due to their being owned by Disney. Whether Henson Studios can work out a deal or not is anybody’s guess. Never-the-less, without the Muppets people adore and recognize, Late Night Buffet may be doomed to failure, regardless of quality.
