Smash Bros Brawl: Sakurai Gives Some Character News
Thursday, Jun. 8 2006 | Author: SpengsAs found at Joystiq.com, Super Smash Bros. creator, Masahiro Sakurai, has been updating fan-questions frequently at the Japanese Smash Bros website (these updates have not yet trickled into the English language version, predictably).
According to Sakurai, many characters from the previous installment, Super Smash Bros. Melee, will NOT be making a come-back. Rumor has it that Ice-Climbers and Mr. Game & Watch were the first to be given the axe. Sakurai also stated he wants to place less of an emphasis on game characters that are only popular in Japan. Whether or not this means the Fire Emblam characters will be cut is unknown.
In regards to new characters, supposedly there will only be 2 or 3 non-Nintendo guest stars (Solid Snake already being confirmed). The rumormill has stated that Wind Waker-Link will be replacing Young Link, while Ridley (from Metroid) and the irritating Baby Bowser (AKA Bowser Jr, from Super Mario Sunshine) have been added to the list. Haven’t been able to find any hard evidence on that rumor, however.
As far as gameplay is concerned, the controls and moves for each character are being “refined” as a means of making them simpler to control, particularly in aerial combat. The speed of the game will also be slowed down, though we don’t know by how much.

6Foolish people, Sonic was already on melee. you just had to beat 250 (I think)on cruel mode to get him and Tails. I warn you though it is the hardest thing I have ever seen on that game.
And also it would be great to put Lloyd and Kratos (Tales of Symphonia) on Brawl. It would be the best, and I promise both of them would be two of the most played characters on the game. And I know what Im talken about. Just make them look cool and make the B button for Lloyd demon fang, and for Kratos double demon fang just like their game. And if you do put them in the game, don’t make them clones cause it wouldn’t be right.

10I heard that they were going to kick off Young Link. I would hate that because he was one of my favourite characters. I also don’t like how they’re going to slow down the game. I think it needs to be fast in order to make it exciting. I would love to see a Sony and Nintendo collaboration for a Smash Bros. game. While Nintendo may have more of an open mind for multi-player games, Sony creates WAY better characters (and story lines). I’d also love to see all the Pokemon from the game vanish. They’re not very good and they don’t suit the game.

13THE WIZ think that if they put Lloyd in the game then they should put Kratos too. His moves from Tales of Symphonia seems better suited for this game than Lloyd. Plus instead of using demon fang for Kratos you could use double demon fang. They could be like the Marth and Roy of Brawl. Except them being clones of each other.

14Um, considering that pokemon is a Nintendo liscense, the pokemon DO fit into the game. I do think that there are too many pokemon characters though.
Young Link isn’t really gone since cel-shaded link IS a young Link.
I’m a little wary about the slowing down. Does anybody really think melee is too fast???

15……Itz a shame how stupid some of you people are. 1 question, why dont Pokemon fit in the game? Their with Nintendo & you can fight with them,….”O” maby cause your not good with them, they should be out the game. I would agree JP, & Pichu arn’t that hott, but their still good characterz.No, Sonic iz not in Melee, I killed 98 wire frames in crule melee, and I dont think itz possible to get 200+. Anyway….a sony colabo would be a crack idea, but I would also like to see Capcom in the mix,Capcom has already made mad colab gamez.

19ok chaos knows what he is talking about he said really good characters, like conker that would be insanely cool. but instead of shadow put in knuckles, since if they put shadow it would probably be like marth and roy or mario and doctor mario same exact character boring!!!! this dan guy is an idiot all of those characters are stupid as hell. if they put mortal kombat in this game i would be pissed. banjo kazooie would be nice. plz keep falco falco i think is awesome and maybe add wolfen from starfox, also to give falco a nemises put in leon the lizard guy falco is always in a beef with. instead of putting a crap load of pokemon in why dont they put in ash ketchum? diddy kong seems like he would do well for this game since they only have one dk char and its dk!! and dont you think its kind of nessacary to put in waluigi if you have wario? i like the idea of windwaker link though good choice on their part.

27Sonic and Tails would be great. Ridley is a nice add-in also. They should keep the move with pokemon, maybe put in blaziken or eevee(evolutions) or mew(I would love to play with it, probably more than mewtwo).

31Nah, i don’t agree with the comment up here. Sonic would be really nice in SSBB, considering lots of video game players would like to see a fight between Sonic and Mario, or i mean at least, both in the same game. But of course, if Sonic don’t apeear in the game i don’t think that this will be a ruin or something, i mean, Nintendo will surelly give something nice as Sonic to the SSBB fans. 42oscar why should ness ice climbers and game n’ watch go? i’m not good with them but it is fun to play as game n watch and ice climbers and i think people would riot if ness was taken out, why would waluigi be a clone of wario? i don’t see him doing a big fart attack, actually the practicallity of clones in this game is small with these new super moves.

MEGAMAN and ZERO-would also b another good choice cuz they have been wit nintendo for ages now
CONKER-he could even make little bleeping sounds when hes mad. that would be hilarious
BANJO and Kazooie-do seem like characters that could be possible choices, but most can tell no one will bother to play them anyways.
STARFOX SERIES can they really make anyone else from starfox. i thought Falco was going to be a little different but he ended up jus being a stupid clone. which made my favorite character Fox ALOT weaker and like no defense.

50…. i swear you people don’t seriously think about this, Wario, we have seen his style that seems to be in brawl but waluigi we have only seen him taking up wario’s old style, explosives right? So if he does end up in brawl he most likely be using explosives while we only see wario in explosive mode while wearing his classic clothing and he isn’t wearing those now is he? and why must ice climbers and game n watch go? i can see jigglypuff and pichu going i mean jigglypuff is popular in japan not here and pichu can go to make way for cooler and better fighting pokemon (with the better and pichu there would be to much pokemon) but game n watch is fun to mess around with and so are ice climbers(not to play in a serious battle but a just for fun!)
and am i the only one who thinks smashing goombas on adventure mode is fun and that genral scales would be a good fighter????

53All I can say is, Sonic and Tails are never going to be in a smash bros game! They’re SEGA! Not Nintendo! All the original characters should stay (espicially Falco, Roy and Marth), except Pichu, Jigglypuff, Dr. Mario, Luigi, Marth, Falco, Game and Watch and Mewto should be default characters. I’d like to see Krystal, Toad, Mew, Diddy Kong, Some Fire Emblem characters, Skull Kid, Daisy and Celebi should be in.

55well Bad Comic. sonic has been on the gamecube a freakin couple times. and oh THERE MAKING ANOTHER GAME ON THE WII!!! the creators said there are a couple other characters that are in this outside of nintendo. so have faith, and feel like a jerk once they put him on the roster with the other 40 people in the new game

63Ok, first I’m sorry Smash fan, I guess we’ll just wait till 2007 to find out. 1st off Snake is in because the creators good friends with the creator of Mario, so that’s why we see him in Brawl. Ok, Boots and Smash Fan are right Sonic is a 3rd party character and may have a chance because people have wanted to see him since 2002. Sonic might be in the game so I’ll say he’s a 1 in a 100 because 1) everyone wants him 2) What I said before he’s only a Sega. But if they put in Sonic I say they put in Tails because Tails always is with Sonic. And whoever started the “Megaman and Bomberman would be cool” is totally wrong.

64Pokeballs are special items in Smash Bros and the funnest. Here is what I wanna see for the Brawl. Keep all the originals except Goldeenand Maril(Mew and Celebi I want as playable characters). But have Blazikien, Swampert, Sceptile, Jirachi, Deoxys, Kyogre, Groundon, Rayquaza, Latios, Latias, Tyranitar, Metagross, and some of the newest ones. I’ll admit that’s not a lot, but cut me slack I dumped Pokemon a long time ago. I do want Naui and Tatl as some sort of item (for those of you who don’t know those are 2 fairys in the Legend of Zelda)and see soon for more characters I want to see

And these are characters that I never want to see in a Smash Bros game, Waluigi (was Wario’s gas attack not bad enough?), Ash Ketchum (What would his attacks be dork power? Pokedex torture?!) Megaman and Bomberman (they jsut don’t fit in), Banjo Kazooie (I think he’s owned by Microsoft, so we wouldn’t see him anyway) Jack (from Harvest Moon, what would he do plant stuff on you >XP) and any other Sega charcter besides Sonic and Tails. Except it would be way better than Mewto! I just always thought they were cool. Now Azkalas is right, it would only take 1 system for a 3rd party character to appear, all I was saying Isn’t they wouldn’t fit in the game. Just how many New comers are there, I duno but I can tell you a lot of people including me will be dissapointed to see the characters we wanted aren’t in the game. 121Well, i dunno if ya guys know, but there are rumours that Sakurai was looking for Ubisoft characters, if the rumours are true and this really happen, go thinking about Rayman in SSBB. Considering i never played one Rayman game, i think it’s better i don’t talk if i like or dislike the idea. o_o
Also, Sakurai said more or less 3 characters 3rd party in-game, but he also said (Don’t remember where i read) this number can grow a lil bit. (Max. 5~6 and i doubt he will get more than 1 of each, hardly he will get 2 of the same company, and no chance of getting more than 2)

126Theres no doubt a lot of the characters mentioned would be great. The problem though is that many would either result in clones, or not be entered due to their value to sony. Sonic is good because sega is on its last leg. They need the publicity. But things like Dante, Cloud, or most others won’t make it due to value. The reason they got snake is probably due to the game creators relations and publicity for guns of the patriot.

133Well, i guess your right Comic but as Azkalas mention that some of the chracters i pointed out would make a good edition as i previously wrote. Sakurai said that he going to have more than 40 characters in the next game but 5-6 of them are third-parties. Here’s my improved list Comic and Azkalas:
1-Sonic
2-Megaman(you got to admit Comic he does have a good chance of coming because Capcom and Nintendo have been together since SNES)

140Nah, if people said such things i don’t agree, Megaman really sticks fine to SSBB and he can have a good and interesting move list(Even don’t being my first choice of 3rd party, i really wouldn’t mind if Megaman appears, also, his chance of appearing is one of the greatest ones).
Jet Force Lupus, no way of appearance (I wondering how the dog would hold himself in the wall to don’t fall down in the abyss), Juno and Vela still have minor chances (If they add Jet Force characters, i just hope the one added come with Floyd!).
BMS, Ridley, Wind Waker and Bowser Jr are rumours, nobody knows if Sakurai really said such thing, but i like the idea of replacing those characters, except that between Young Link and Wind Waker i like it best the Young Link(For a fine replace Young Link should be traded by the Majora’s Skull Kid surelly).
People like the Wind Waker style, but the true is it will suck in Smash. Ridley would be hot in Smash, no doubt, and would be a Metroid villain ftw(*____*~~~~~).
I never played ToS, but i heard good things about Lloyd, he appears nice and wouldn’t suck Smash at all. But considering he is a 3rd party with a recent fame and had only 1 game in Nintendo platform, i think he have minor chances as well. And Joe, he is from Capcom. If Nintendo get Capcom characters i’m really expecting it will be only from Megaman series. (Chances of Megaman, Bass and Protoman to appear, i think they are the only ones with good chances of joining the Brawl).

Metal characters, why people insist saying “metal (char name)”, if you want the character in metal form just grab a Metal Box in the ground or ask Nintendo to do a “Metal Mode”. o_o

151Alot of characters are great and would be exceptional in fighting games, but SSB isn’t like most other fighting games. Alot of good characters just won’t work. Sam Fisher, Naruto, and PACMAN are fine examples.

152Agree with the comment above, anime characters don’t work, characters from other fighting games don’t work as well. And those “real-world” characters same thing(Like James Bond).
I’ve just remember a character now that i would LOVE seeing as a 3rd party playable character, Ryu from Breath of Fire II, wow, he would rock! His smash atack could transform him into Dragon form and pwn everything! =X That’s the best Capcom character i can think at. =)

153Please comment on this: Does anyone here fell that by adding some of these characters(Crash Bandicoot for example) would cause SSB to lose its image? I love a lot of games on their image and presence. SSB is great on both. It’s still my favorite party game. I just don’t want it to turn out like a big grab bag of characters who really have no place in it.

154Depending on the characters i agree. Crash nor sure cuz i never played Crash before. But have somes like Anime Characters, or characters from another fighting game (Street Fighter or KoF) that would ruin. Real-world characters would ruin as well. But characters like Snake, Sonic, and etc. i think it will only ruin the game if the SSBB programers make their moves suck, i believe they deserve being strong like Nintendo characters. I’m really hoping Sakurai don’t make “The Nintendo characters the strongs” and “The outsiders suck”.

159crash would only be a good character if they give him so good moves. But i not too sure myself. I agree with Azkalas about the Anime/Real-world people it would just make the game lose its fame and then no one will buy it! But i hope Sakurai addes in a little more girls more villians and at least from a company the best favored character(Ex Sonic from sega, RayMan from Ubisoft etc. I’m not saying to elimanate all the characters you guys are saying i’m just saying to add characters that would be most like for this game. So i just going to listen to people chocies and just comments. Please don’t think i’m a jerk though i good at editing peace:)

160Yeah, agree with Killing! But from some companies i really think there 2 that could appear in Brawl, only 2 companies comes to mind. Sega, Sonic & Tails (Tails is Sonic’s partner from the most remote times! It could be added for a Mario + Luigi X Sonic + Tails, which would really rule!) and Gruntilda, i really think she deserves, i mean, Banjo – Kazooie is a series wich makes sucess among the fans, Gruntilda is a villain, as i said is SHE, not he, and she have can have a damn good move list (Just play B-K64, she is the final boss there with good moves). Ohh, and she is funny like hell with her rhymes, lol.

168Well, considering the Ice Climbers might get out in the next game, “according to rumours”. Also, i think each characters is each character, it shouldn’t affect they. Also, it won’t be a playstyle like Ice Climber, Kazooie would put his wings and head out of the Backpack when you give some moves like in the N64 game. =)

179i just they know how affect the people with the chocies we are making. i mean like everyone is making good chocies but maybe some way they might add something that might ruin it but i’m thinking that should still put characters that are best know, everyone likes them, and a close company with Nintendo. If they were making 2-3 third-party character then i would have to say:
Sonic from SEGA
MegaMan from CapCom
RayMan From Ubisoft ( they signed a treaty to become parnter comapnies).
I don’t like the idea of putting more than one person from a one company(EX sonic and shadow too many things to be wrong with them)
to make a diverse game they just only a least one person so we can have other cool characters in the game am i right or am i right?=) But if they add anymore people above 3( which i highly doubt) i would also say:
Some cool character from Namco(i’m some good with remebering sorry=()

188I’ve changed my mind, the list i did before, have Black Shadow and Samurai Goroh, i’m thinking now it would be much better having Black Shadow (Of Course, F-Zero most known villain, and surelly the best F-Zero characters option to put in Brawl) and Jody Summer (Cuz we are needing female in the game, and Jody is a character with direct connections to Captain Falcon, also, she is pretty gorgeous =P)
I am a FF series Fan like most of you guys, but i really think it would be “weird” having any FF character in-game O_o’ (I’m not saying it would suck, just saying it’s weird XD)

192hmmm…. well, to decide with the whole mopre villains/girls thing let’s all start thinking of some then we comment later ok?
To start it off i’ll say Ganon, he’s a formitabal player right? He would probably fight like any other player, and he might be too big though some they could shrink him to the size of Ridely. Or if you guys don’t like my idea, if Ganondorf is in the game( which i hope he really is with a NEW MOVE SET), when he gets that Smash Bros engraved rainbow ball thing like in the trailer he could transform into him, that would be coolio:).
Next, I would have to say for a girl maybe Krystel from Star Fox Adventures. If Star Fox makes the cut she would coolio. She could use that rod thing and beat people with it like a weapon that she can take out with a special button press like down b left or right b or something like that. It would be kind of cool for her up b to use her stick as a propeller.
Next for a villian i would say Boo. I know what your thinking, Boo isn’t really a villian anymore but who doesn’t want the little guy? Hmm.. now this would be hard to come up with some moves for him, but aside from that i think he would be an good player. Next for a girl i would say Birdo. Yeah, i know Birdo kind of sucks, but she can shoot eggs which would be a coolio move and if she grab that ball thing she can shoot up flaming eggs and it would hit the opponent which would be cool. 196you know what it would be weierd but all the kirby guys off of cristal what ever and you can be the paeter and king DD and the poopoo man as in the guy with brown all over and a tanish color on his face and ya the can be cool but if thay had a thing you know the one setting you get to fight shadow link on single player but thay shood have this one battle that you hav to be kirby and fight the ultimte angle looking guy on the last world on cristal thing a mu gob let me see on my N64 O its called crystal shards hope thay put slippy in even tho shes gay so back to kirby O its called event machis and have kirby on and fight this angle caricter and by killing it you have to go on the stars and hit its green catice on his butt and hit it and you have to do this over and over and over then ya but befor this event mach you fight the big whight thing with tuns of eyes and you have to be kirby and suck up sumthin wich will kill it or grab somethin and it will kill it or somethin i dount know for this one but thay shoud so it can be fun for kirby fans such as not me just had the game sens like 6 years so the you have it

i think nick off of psi-ops would be nice he has good moves he would have good moves like TK PK MD MC but that would be so cheep have all of them MD will give your damage down and TK will let you pick up stuff PK set fire to stuff the vyuing thince wont help so i would put MD you have to be a serten distents and PK TK serten distens TK would go far but do not wont any thing in its way or it will pick it up so ya PK has to be a serten distents or hit somethin to hit it but you have to have a setent time to regane its power even tho it dos not do that on psi-ops it would be nice to be one of the cheep ist guys on there for get about MC it would be to cheep just PK TK MD MD dranens power from your head and give him you know TK can be used to pick up your enmey and you can thro it left or right PK set fire to boxes and berils and enemeys so it would be so cheep

234Yeah! Slowing down the game is a step in the right direction! I’m tired of button mashing-I liked the first game better because there was more time to think, and it seemed more fun. (Not that I want to do away with the new options in Melee.) I’m also annoyed by the idea that a wavedash user is a master.
Its nice that we’re axing some of the melee clones. I hope we do anyway, but I’d like to keep Marth since he’s my best Melee character.
On about another character: Sonic, or Bomberman would be nice additions. Everyone wants to see Sonic…
Despite all this, its unlikely I’ll buy a new nintendo system just for one game, as I did with the GC.
Still, keep us, the (once or future) hardcore fanbase posted on Brawl.

Actually, I’m not that dumb. Sakurai and his team would be wise to only axe Game & Watch, Pichu, Bowser (although it would never happen), and then improve upon / balance all of the other characters for gameplay’s sake (as well as keeping current fans and tournament-players of the series happy). Then see some new characters thrown into the mix.
I think they already have waaaay to many Mario characters in the game. The good thing about each of them is their different play styles (and yes… for those that actually have any knowledge of the game whatsoever, Dr. Mario’s fighting style IS different from Mario’s), so i would like to see all the current ones make a comeback. I think the other characters from Fire Emblem and F-Zero would be great additions as well, and i would hope to GOD they reconsider Bowser Jr… Ridley and WW Link are fine… but god.. BOWSER JR??

Alex Rick would be coolio, did you see my list above? that’s all my thoughts. Sakurai said that he is making a 40 or more charcter range for the next game, so i said that a 40-45 would be cool with 5 of them as third-parties. Right now we are discussing on more girls and villains so i’m hoping that they take out Peach unless we don’t have enough. We need more characters from Kirby, DK, Samus, Star FOx(which i hope they are in), Better pokemon please, Fire Emblem(so people), Ness, Captain Falcon, and that’s it peace

284I say that all of the characters from SSMB and the “Sonic the Hedgehog” series should be included in the game.But they shouldn’t take out some of the original SSMB’s most poular characters…Like let’s say Peach maybe and probably even Giga Bowser.Also,I think this game will be much more harder than SSMB.Now that I think about it this game should rated E for Everyone.Of course i’ll have to study the game more to see exactly who the main and secret characters are in this game-Who knows?Maybe even some characters from other series will appear unexpected by most.

329I am PRETTY good at Melee, (Although I always lost ot my brother.) I think sonic will be given:
For DownB, Bounce Attack, Foward A, Homing Attack. (I’m predicting it might be continouous.) When he gets a Smash Orb, Supersonic with Sonic Wind (Or just plain old sonic with that move) and if that’s not in it, Chaos Control. I think the B button might be Spin dash and Press up on the control stick to jump, double jump, and ball jump. As for the plain old A button, I think they’ll be plain old punches and kicks. As for the wall jump I think it’s for every character now that sonic is in… wait a minuite… SONIC HAS BEEN CONFIRMED FOR SUPER SMASH BROTHERS BRAWL!!!! I’ll tell you why on my next post.

S.S. Halberd Battle Ship Stage
Gamers will find themselves battling each other on a small hovering platform high above the air as Meta Knights massive ship flys in the background and sometimes comes as an extension to the stage.
Fire Emblem Castle Stage
Gamers battle both on top and inside an unnamed castle from Fire Emblem as it’s bombarded by catapult fire. This stage also suggests that a character from the game will be a playable character in Brawl.
BattleField Stage
Standard stage with small main platform and three floating platforms. It’s shown in the scene where Mario uses his power up attack.
Metal Gear Solid Stage

467I think that if they want to put in any new pokemon they should take out Jigglypuff and Pichu and maybe Mewtwo unless they power him up a bit. He is way too slow and his attacks aren’t nearly as powerful as I would have expected. I doubt they would but if they take out Zelda/Sheik I’ll be mad becuase besides pikachu, she is my best character.

Megaman.EXE-i would rather have this megaman
than the normal one cause the battle network
GBAs made a big hit in nintendo.
Grovyle- although someone already said blaziken i felt this was a good fighter choice and a good new pokemon addition.
Ray-man- never was a big fan but it wouldnt hurt to put someone who has a Wii game coming out.
knuckles- I would never recommend alot of sonic charecters in brawl cause of their low variety of attacks, but knuckles is a good choice cause of his fighting attacks.

510It’s okay KillingNobody,I encounter that mistake a lot when I’m on other forums.And especially Boo and Shy Guy…They DO contain many intense moves.Don’t worry:I don’t like Daisy and Peace that much either.It also depends on how you use Mario and Sonic if participated as a Human Player.But on level9 that would be something good to watch once in a while.

528Toad was only a cameo shot in SSBM in the Mushroom Kingdom level and his second and last cameo was Peach’s B attack.
Overall I don’t think he would be a playable character in SSBB but could probably be one of many possible cameos (Including a Golden Retriever puppy I saw in one screenshot).

or blaziken pokemon that can actully fight
then worry alot more on adding more playable
johto pokemon on brawl, i mean on melee they had pichu=johto but it sucked.
now as for mario characters unless they would
give toad alot of reflect like attacks i doubt they would allow him to be in there.
however they could make him a character you can fight like what they did for giga bowser

575I always noticed the motion bomb trophy had top secret but i always thought it was for some none important reason. now that you mention it, it could’ev been a MGS weapon
in the game but they could’nt put snake in it cause it was too late, so just to be lazy and quick they renamed the weapon discription. that could have happen.
but you also have to remember it was in the first SSB game too so, unless they forgot
to put snake 2 times on the game well, i dont know?

632Blaze The Cat is Sonic’s X Rival, now she is one of his closest friends. She was in the game Sonic Rush, and is confirmed to be in Sonic The Hedgehog for PS3. She also may be in Sonic Riders 2 for PS3. She even has the ability of fire, and her (Super Mode) is realy called Burning mode. When in this stage she can launch herself forward (like Sonic) and can also shoot fire balls. She also turns into a fire tornado when she jumps.

History
Little is known about Silver other than the fact that in Sonic the Hedgehog, he has travelled from the future in an effort to find and stop the Iblis Trigger whose actions will cause a great disaster to occur involving the deaths of some fact. On that note, some sources have claimed that Sonic may be this “Iblis Trigger” where as others claim he may have a role in causing it – at the moment, it’s still very skeptical but this is one source [2] that states that Silver believes Sonic is the identity he is looking for. Silver is another one of Sonic’s rivals, backed by his confirmed playable apperance in Sonic Rivals (which features two other rivals; Knuckles the Echidna and Shadow the Hedgehog).

Gameplay
The gameplay of Silver is completely different from Sonic. Silver’s gameplay emphasizes more on exploration much like Knuckles and Rouge in the Sonic Adventure series. He is not as fast as Sonic and Shadow.
In-game screenshot of SilverUnlike Knuckles and Rouge, Silver has a psychokinetic ability, and is able to mentally lift objects such as crates and throw them at enemies, similar to Half-Life 2’s Gravity Gun. He can also use these abilities to block and deflect oncoming attacks, as well as perform his own version of jumping, which has him “hover” over large gaps. This technique appears to drain his “energy” bar, as may his other psychic abilities. He also appears to fall very slowly compared to other characters, this means more air time.
He can manipulate the environment too, thus expanding the playing areas. For example, while standing on the steel beam, he could bend it mentally and let it go, much like a springboard.

Yuji Naka has stated that Silver will be “young”, it was unknown if Naka meant he is physically young or simply has a childish nature. A recent interview states that he is young and a little immature[1]. He does look physically young.
Sonic Team was originally thinking about making Silver’s personality similar to Shadow, however they did not want to have similar characters. He does, however have “a strong sense of justice”.

Trivia
In an interview with IGN, Yuji Naka stated that Silver is white because Sonic Team was running out of colors to make their main characters, and that his official color is indeed white, as opposed to metallic Silver.

I’m not that kind of guy that don’t like any japaneese characters. Only 2 from Fire Emblem are cool and they are Marth and Roy. 676Deoxys is an awesome pokemon and new pokemon should be in the game, not always the same old lame pokemon. Rozureido and the other new pokemon can be found on serebii, any one would know that. And everyone likes the newer pokemon better than old pokemon like Mewtwo. Pokemon should always in the Super Smash Bros. Series!!
