Hitachi-LG Data Storage will release during this month for OEM the fastest Blu-Ray drive I’ve ever read about.
Well, it’s not a drive with incredible “looks”, but I guess 4x should be fairly decent speed to record 25GB. I just hope Sony speeds up a bit and introduces BR to the European market sooner.
More space is always good, but I’ll wait quite a while for it to become standard and cheaper before I buy the US port. Actually, I wonder if we’ll have the whole “incompatable dvd-region al dvds” problems with blue ray? I hope not.
