The film ‘A Scanner Darkly’ has been receiving much praise from the arthouse theater crowd and should be released nathion-wide relatively soon. I managed to catch it at one of our local arthouse theaters (our only local arthouse theater) and penned a review of the flick. It was actually rather good, in a bizarre “What the Hell is going on?” sort of way. As I mention in my review, if you liked Naked Lunch, Videodrome or Jacob’s Ladder then you’ll probably dig this movie.

Now hereâs a movie actually worth braving the horrors of the Art House Theater to go see. A Scanner Darkly is a very bizarre tale about drug-addiction which takes the audience about as close as they can get to a wacky acid-tripping experience without the threat of police brutality.
