Looks like the classic Jay Ward character will be making yet another come-back. This time, George will be appearing in a cartoon series produced by Studio B Productions. This new series will be flash animated, like Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, so the animation-quality will only be marginally more impressive than the 1967 television series.
George of the Jungle was recently brought back into the spotlight with two live action films which were rather funny (at least *I* thought they were). This new series won’t be taking much from the movies, however, and the animation style will be heavily influenced by the character designs of the original Jay Ward TV series. All the original characters will be there, though, such as George’s curvacious wife, Ursula, the brilliant ape named Ape and their dog/elephant, Shep.
With any luck this will usher in a Super Chicken resurgence.

1I didn’t find george of the jungle funny, nor does a animated series sound good at all.
