And it’s ugly… seriously, I’m not just saying it because it’s Microsoft but it has a disproportional layout and doesn’t look any better than any other MP3 out there, and those are all still behind the iPod.

The way I see it, it seems that Microsoft is losing terrain on all the terrains it has serious competitors. And the general opinion going on is that there aren’t many people interested in purchasing out (however there are many eager to read more details).
