As you all know, or maybe you’ve even experienced it, iTunes 7.0 had some issues with sound playback. After listening to music for a while the sound would start to get all choppy. Even though some users managed to fix the issue by changing the Quicktime audio settings, for some that only solved the problem for brief period of time.

Hopefully, this latest update solves those complains, and some others, however, it still consumes more than twice as much memory as it did in version 6, so those people wishing for less memory consumption will still have complaints. Here are the release notes:

iTunes 7.0.1 addresses issues with audio playback. In addition, iTunes 7.0.1 also addresses stability and performance issues with Cover Flow, CD importing, iPod syncing, and more.
