DC vs. Street Fighter may be in the works, but if you want some crossover action right now, you can check out the Kombat Pavillion, which has tons of fan-created Flash animations and Sprite-based comics (talk about fanfic!).
My favorite here is the Street Fighter 2 vs. Mortal Kombat animation by Proxicide.
