New Plastic Man animated series pilot episode available on You Tube!

For those of you who feel gypt that Plastic Man never got to actually appear in the JLU animated series (though his name was dropped a few times) then get your dose of Jack Cole’s classic stretchy guy Right Here!
The animation style for this pilot is heavily influenced by the cartoonish art style of the Golden Age Plastic Man comics as well as the more recent Plastic Man on-going series (which I believe was cancelled). The art design has a “Spumco” quality to it (they’re the Ren & Stimpy people) mixed in with a bit of “Powerpuff Girls”. So I suppose it won’t appeal to everyone.
I will say this, though: Tom Kenny (Spongebob) is the perfect voice for Plastic Man. It really is casting perfection, right there. You can thank Andrea Romano for that, as she also did the voice casting and direction for all the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini DC Comics cartoons.
Overall, I enjoyed the pilot and I can see some serious potential for an animated series. I hope it gets picked up.
