First of all, please do not hold me, or ForeverGeek responsible if the downgrading of your PSP fails or renders your PSP useless. There are risks in downgrading, and if your PSP has a modern motherboard it will not work. A new motherboard would be a TA-082, and you can find out if your PSP has one or not by opening the UMD lid and try to read it on the inside.

xtrusion made a nice and simple executable, so all you have to do is simply run the EXE with your PSP in USB mode and it should work. However, (and I can’t help saying this too many times) this won’t work with TA-082 motherboards, so please check your PSP and make sure it doesn’t have this motherboard before moving on.

And if you succeed, welcome to the world of PSP homebrew :)
